Hillary Bermudez

I obtained my doctorate in Mathematics Education at Syracuse University. I am passionate about creating rich and equitable learning environments for a variety of learners. 

I have experience as an educator, teaching and creating instructional material related to mathematics and interdisciplinary material at different academic levels. 

I also have experience as a researcher, primarily focused on undergraduate students’ learning of mathematics proofs and their engagement in argumentation practices. I am also interested in providing prospective secondary mathematics teachers (PSMTs) opportunities to engage with and build on student learning through clinical simulations.I obtained my doctorate in Mathematics Education at Syracuse University. I have over 6 years of experience teaching mathematics at post-secondary level.

I also obtained my MS. and BS. degrees from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez.
