    What ́s the role?

    As the IT Delivery Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing the teams focused delivery sustained development and integration work against the Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operational Support Systems (OSS). This leadership role involves overseeing the end-to-end software development life cycle, and utilizing agile delivery models to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions for the business.

  • Develop and execute software and configuration updates against the IT stack in alignment with the overall business objectives and LLA technology roadmap
  • Collaborate with senior management to define and refine the technology vision, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the telecommunications industry
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software developers, architects, and engineers.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects related to BSS and OSS
  • Ensure that projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget constraints
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operational Support Systems (OSS) within the telecommunications domain.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting BSS and OSS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, network operations, and customer support, to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of BSS and OSS solutions.
  • Establish and enforce software development best practices, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust testing processes to ensure the reliability and performance of BSS and OSS software.
  • Work closely with HR and project managers to allocate resources effectively, ensuring optimal productivity and project success.
  • Assess skill gaps within the team and implement training and development programs as needed.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners providing BSS and OSS solutions.
  • Collaborate on vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Participating in problem resolution efforts and post-incident reviews
  • Scoping, planning and managing small projects within the IT environment
  • Maintaining a detailed understanding of service offerings, delivery processes and technical capabilities.
  • Demonstrate and ensure compliance with Liberty Latin America Privacy Policy, the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America policies, and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

  • What do you need?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software development leadership roles, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of BSS and OSS concepts, technologies, and implementation best practices.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including items such as networking, data centers, messaging, mobility, servers, storage, databases, virtualization and voice
  • Direct experience with Agile delivery methodologies and able to drive Agile adoption.
