- Participate in a multi-discipline team to establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the OEM parts.
- Research operating environments and functionality of components, their interactions with mating parts, and develop strategies which will return damaged parts back to service.
- Create technical documents that provide engineering requirements for repairs and support the Customer in the resolution of field supportability issues.
- Interface with the technical and program management to secure priorities and understand programmatic issues.
- Provide onsite audits for repair Suppliers and Overhaul Depots in support of repair Source Demonstration and Tooling qualifications.
- Communicate with department leadership and management on status and risks to program schedule, budget and metrics (cost, weight, performance, etc.).
- Utilize standard work and CORE tools to lead continuous improvement efforts on processes/methods during the part life cycle.
- Develop and sustain a healthy work relationship based on mutual trust with peers, internal and external customers where significant interaction is expected.
- English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 2 years of engineering or aerospace experience or an Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Travel up to 10%
- 1 years of experience with NX, Teamcenter or other PLM systems or ASME Y14.5 specification.
- 1 year of aerospace experience.
- 1 year of knowledge of technical processes and design requirements of multiple gas turbine hardware (internal, external, static, or rotating hardware).
- 1 year with AS9100 or other Quality Management System standards.

Job Summary
:This position is with the Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering (ASE) Military Repair Group as Repair Design Engineer (RDE). The RDE is responsible for the development of repairs for military aero engines, and includes development of the repair concept, writing of the repair, obtaining approvals, and coordination with the end user.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
