    What's the role?

    As a Fleet Specialist, you will be responsible for the management, supervision and preventive and corrective maintenance of the fleet, acceptance of all improvements or major repairs carried out by external resources.

    How can you add value?

  • Responsible to maintain quality during preventive or corrective maintenance to Liberty fleet vehicles.
  • Responsible for maintaining professional relationships with external contacts and internal, suppliers & mechanics.
  • Responsible for verifying repairs job request, in the JIRA application.
  • Coordinate repairs with technicians, supervisor & mechanics.
  • Maintain the JIRA platform with the tickets that still need to be worked
  • Responsible for continuous evaluation related to parts providers.
  • Assure implementation for safety procedures in shop facility.
  • Responsible for providing the security equipment to the personnel with assigned unit.
  • Ensure that an inventory of safety equipment and materials needed to support personnel with assigned units is maintained.
  • Provide support to all staff with assigned units.
  • In hurricane season, assist with the dispatch team for the rented tanks, for the supply of fuel. In the four cardinal points established; (Luquillo, Hato Rey, Hatillo & Ponce).
  • Serves as a backup for the Facilities and Fleet Manager as needed.
  • Keep communication with all areas supervisors to assure preventive maintenance is performed to vehicles every 3000 miles.
  • Supervise and inspect repairs facilities for Island/Metro in a daily basis.
  • Quarterly inspections must be carried out on the units in the assigned facilities.
  • Coordinate quarterly HYD maintenance, with supervisors and supplier.
  • Assist the facilities when the HYD maintenance is being carried out, to validate that they are completed.
  • Track the sizes of the units that are under repair.
  • Assist staff with assigned units that require some support, in and out of working hours.
  • Demonstrates and ensures compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.
  • Other functions that may be assigned.
  • What you will need?

    Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

    2-5 years of experience related to project management, vendor management, fleet and/or maintenance.

    Other Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Strong knowledge in mechanics and car industry, also knowledge in company fleet management and industry safety standards.
  • Proficiency in PC Applications; word processing, presentations, logistics software and databases
  • Must have familiarity with DOT regulations, governing the use of Commercial Vehicles, as well as strong mechanical proficiency and working knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and design characteristics.
  • Must possess a Class a Driver License and must meet and align with Company's Driver Qualification Policy.
  • Able to organize tasks to meet deadlines perfectly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with subscribers, employees from all hierarchical levels, contractors, and suppliers. Must be able to work irregular schedules, 24/7 (On Call), during emergencies able to travel around company facilities across the island.
