    What ́s the role?

    As the Commissions Manager, you will lead the commissions payment process. Review of the commissions calculations according with the approved policies. Manage sales quotas with Management and Finance. Supervise Senior Commissions & Commissions Specialists, ensuring that all processes are carried out appropriately and in a timely manner. Manage and approve SOX controls for the commissions area.

  • Interpret company policies affecting commissions payments procedures.
  • Determine work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedite workflow for direct reports.
  • Review and approve commissions payouts.
  • Meet commissions calculations operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, efficiency, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
  • Analyze commissions payout variances against budget.
  • Analyze & prepare monthly quotas for Retail, IHX, Authorized Retailers and quota uploads, assign quotas to Medium and Large Enterprise.
  • Evaluate commissions structures and submit adequate proposals to management.
  • Provide support on monthly commissions accrual.
  • Responsible for recording employees absences and tardiness and identify occurrences according to Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
  • Liaison between Sales Department Management and Finance.
  • Meet commissions financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking innovative practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities that contribute to job accomplishments.
  • Demonstrate and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures of Liberty Latin America's including Code of Conduct, The Customer 1st Philosophy and all safety established standards.
  • Other functions that may be assigned.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Directly supervise and provide mentorship to a group of employees in the Commissions Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    What do you need?

    Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in accounting and additional courses, trainings in Labor Law and Tax Regulations.

    Minimum of 5 to 7 years of payroll experience and supervisory responsibility.

    Other Qualifications:

  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Experience in budget development and management.
  • Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other specialized applications related to area of assignment.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to identify and implement applicable procedures.
  • Ability to maintain and prepare a variety of complex payroll statements, reports, and analyses.
  • Able to analyze and interpret complex financial and accounting records.
  • Knowledge of tax withholding according to local & federal guidelines.
