    Descripción

    ICF's Disaster Management team is in search of Field Inspectors to join the team in Puerto Rico for reviewing properties applying for solar panel installation on housing units using HUD's CDBG-MIT funds. As a Field Inspector, you will be responsible for: Traveling to assigned cases, identifying environmental conditions through photographs, completing required forms, and collecting documentation if needed.

    This role is part-time and temporary and could be an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in engineering, architecture, or an environmental-related field. Residents of specific municipalities will be considered for this role: Vega Baja, Bega Alta, Corozal, Dorado, Toa Alta, Naranjito, and Morovis (no P.O. Boxes).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Document environmental conditions and input into an electronic form.

    • Coordinate and participate in site visits.

    • Follow procedures, maintain communication and focus.

    • Track caseload and information in the management system.

    • Keep Supervisor informed on issues, problems, & resolutions.

    • Excellent customer service skills, ability to listen, communicate, facilitate, and negotiate effectively.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma at a minimum.

    • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish.

    • Must be willing to drive to various locations across Puerto Rico. Must possess a valid driver's license, pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check, and have reliable transportation.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Positive attitude for homeowner communication.

    • Proficiency in confirming GPS coordinates.

    Professional Skills:

    • Willingness to learn and grow as a field inspector.

    • 2+ years' experience with MS Office (Word, Excel), smartphone apps, and Data Information Systems.

    • Commitment to established work schedule.

    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

    • Produce quality work with attention to detail.
