    Your role at Baxter:

    Drive the installation and qualification activities of new equipment; make modifications and improvements to actual equipment and support validation exercises that result in optimization of existing packaging operations and the implementation of new projects in safe, cost effective and quality conscious manner. Works as liaison between Site Engineering and Manufacturing during the project life cycle, while maintaining a high standard of proficiency, quality of work, and motivation.

    What you'll be doing:

    Implement a Statistical Process Control for Fill & Pack (e.g., Filler Machines, Torque Application systems). Assure that the appropriate statistical tools are used in the validation of Packaging equipment.

    Create and maintain a documentation error monitoring and support F/P management in analyzing data from documentation errors as to identify areas for improvement.

    Implement changes in the F/P Preventive Maintenance System as to convert it into Predictive Maintenance.

    Lead efforts into develop and implement F/P performance indicators, Implement and maintain system to measure OEE performance.

    Manage process improvement projects implementations as well as facility upgrades & Manage new equipment installation activities.

    Prepare and issue status reports for F&P Metrics.

    Manage, schedule, coordination, facilitate, execute, implement, and close process improvement and capital projects that support the filling and packaging operations on time within planned project schedules and budget.

    Request and coordinate the required maintenance, contractors and technical support for the projects execution and assuring the safety condition of the area to be working at minimum equipment downtime and adherence to the provided manufacturing windows.

    Develop project plans and host frequent multi-disciplinary team meetings to assure project execution is adherence to the plan.

    Report any potential project delays in a timely manner and provide mitigation plans to assure on-time execution.

    Technical Qualifications and Other Background

    -Computer literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

    Ability to operate electronic equipment

    Capable of operating automatic and semi-automatic equipment

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Project management knowledge skills

    Technical writing and reporting skills

    Must possess good rerecord keeping skills

    Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays

    Able to interpret and convert units of measure such as measure, temperature, flow area, mass, distance, volume or other

    Mathematical reasoning: Add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages as well as able to use calculator or other associated electronic equipment.

    Basic pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge

    Ability to understand technical drawings

    Basic machine/software platform/equipment troubleshooting skills

    Lean Six Sigma Tools Knowledge and expertise

    Strong negotiation skills

    Knowledge of sampling techniques

    Knowledge of Statistical software and calculations

    Knowledge of TPM (Total Predictive Maintenance) and TRP (Total Process Reliability)

    Knowledge related to programmable logic controllers (PLC)

    Willing to travel outside Puerto Rico

    What you'll bring:

    Education:

    Bachelor's Degree Engineering – Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial

    Job Experience:

    Three (5) to five (8) years' experience in Manufacturing Processes & Packaging (Chemical/Pharmaceutical Plants)

    Language: Fully Bilingual – written and spoken English and Spanish

    Regulations: Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP, FDA, EHSS regulations
